Stoli is now an "it" dog...

So we made an appointment for Stoli to get spayed this past Friday. Well... We took her in at 8 am and had a quick check up on her because she had puked in her kennel a few times this week--- Verdict is... acid reflux. We changed her treats about a week ago and I think that has something to do with it... But they gave us some meds to give to her at bedtime to see if that will help. Ugh. Well onto the next fun news. So, when we went I was half asleep and they handed me the paperwork to fill out. One of the papers was about "blood work" so me and my half asleep self didn't really get "clarification" or really "read" the paper and opted to get the bloodwork done. I thought that it came with the price quote they gave me for the spay. I WAS WRONG!!! I might be able to laugh about it in a minute... but when I got the call that Stoli was out of surgery and doing fine and also the "total" bill I about DIED! We were quoted $150 and yes I paid $275. I have learned my lesson and the papers they have you fill out and talk about "blood work" is NOT included. I just got up-sold and didn't even know it!

After we dropped Stoli off at the Vet we came home and I got ready and left for work. On my way to work I checked my Facebook-- Oh iPhone how I love thee. When I checked my Facebook I found out that my Dad and oldest brother were on their way down from Coeur D' Alene! What a surprise! First thought that came to mind... I am SOOO glad I had my OCD cleaning spree earlier this week! I called my Dad and found out what time they would be in Utah and asked if they wanted to stay the night at our house that night so we could actually get to spend time with them because I work all weekend every weekend. The answer was yes! I called Tim and asked him to do a quick clean-up of the house and what not. I came home on my lunch to help him- and opened up the door to the kitchen cleaned, carpets vaccuamed, laundry going, and floors swept! What a wonderful caring husband I have!

Tim went and picked up our pup. She is normally spazzed out and what a shock it was to see her after surgery! When my Dad and bro got to the house she just curled up and was totally doped up. I don't like to see my dog like that but what a nice change for a minute! She is pretty much back to her normal self today-- not 100% but doing good.

Well thats all for now

Things I love Thursday

This picture pretty much says it all... But I love the sunsets and the Ocean-- Together is the best combination ever. I just flew out to California and took a road trip from Sacramento to Santa Rosa then onto Eureka for my friends wedding. I wasn't able to see the Ocean but being SOOO close made me realize how much I miss being in at least driving distance to it! My trip was amazing and refreshing, I was able to see a ton of old friends and also able to see some beautiful scenery. So this Thursday.... I am reflecting on how much I LOVE the Ocean and Sunsets.

What is something you Love??

Wisdom teeth

A week after we moved into our new place I had my wisdom teeth removed. This picture pretty much explains it all! I came out of the surgery and wasn't feeling too bad-- I guess I was comic relief for the nurses. All I remember is Tim walking back to the recovery area and started laughing because I was trying to talk and couldn't because my mouth was full of gauze. Tim went and got the truck and pulled it around the back and the nurse walked me out --- looked at Tim and said "she's FUNNY!!" When I went back I was talking to the nurse about it she said I was one of the few that wasn't crying on the way out of surgery. Well... What do you expect? I like to make people laugh even if I am in all sorts of pain!

So the picture-- I have to thank my dear sweet hubby for that one. He was such a trooper in taking care of me. He put me to bed and gave me my frozen peas and pillows and blankets and told me to rest... Later did I find this picture on his phone... Thanks babe!!!

Our new house

We moved into base housing and here is a picture of the outside. It is a duplex 2 bed 1 1/2 bath we love it! We have a good sized back yard and awesome neighbors. I haven't taken any pictures of the inside of the house to post yet because I keep changing my mind with decorating :) We are getting a new couch and what not this weekend so maybe I will post then.
Tim also got a new "toy" that would be the truck in the driveway... More pics of big blue will come later as well.

....hopeful....

My cousins son was in a head on collision this past Saturday in Missoula Montana. He was life flighted to a hospital in Seattle. He is in a drug induced coma with brain injuries and too many injuries to even list. I hate posting such sad posts but he and his family are in need of your prayers. My Dad sent me the picture of the car yesterday and my immediate response was "holy hell!!! I have no idea how anyone made it out alive!" There are three people involved in the accident- Him, his girlfriend, and the driver in the other car. His girlfriend and the other driver are doing fair. They are both still in the hospital and looking at a long recovery.

I am posting this in hopes that you will keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

much love

update

So I just realized I haven't posted anything in over a MONTH!!! Things have been a little busy around here. I started a new job at at&t on December 1st- training was three weeks long and my first week selling was the week of Christmas. Talk about baptism by fire!!! Starting retail the week of Christmas? Well I made it through :)

Tim and I had our first Christmas as a married couple! It was a lot of fun, we went to my sister Kims house and spent the night to have Christmas morning with them. We stayed there all day and drove home that night in a HUGE storm. It took us three hours to get home which with normal conditions would take us an hour and a half. We drove through a white out storm going 25 to 30 mph the whole way. I was driving and white knuckling it!

I hope all of our friends and family have had a wonderful Holiday Season!!!

Here's to 2009!!!!

bridal shower 10.23.08

I haven't had a chance to update pictures for awhile... Here are some pictures of the Bridal Shower that Amanda and B put on! They did an AMAZING job :)

some pics of the big day...

I don't have any of our pictures back from the Wedding Day... However I have a few pics of the Jeep....
So the story behind this is... I handed my brother Anthony the keys and said--- don't do anything that would wreck the paint... He took the keys and said no worries sister the Jeep is safe with me.
Tim and I were ready to leave and I looked at my brothers and they had look like they were up to NO good. I knew we were in for it! So we walked out of sisters house, Tims Jeep was parked on the front lawn and we were trying to figure out what was all over it. As we got closer we realized my brothers had taken it mudding. The first words out of my mouth were YOU A** HOLES!!! I was more worried about getting my dress dirty than anything. So we got in the Jeep and took off to Hotel Monaco. I wish I would have had the camera to get a picture of the Valet face when we pulled in.
I wouldn't have expected ANYTHING less from my brothers... I was mad for a minute but got over it real quick :)

will it ever stop? no, I don't know....

Honestly when you think you think things are on the up and up you get a new hand dealt. I got a call from my Mom on Saturday saying that my Dad had called my brother Anthony and said he felt like he was having a heart attack. Anthony rushed over to my Dads house picked him up and took him to the ER. He went straight into surgery and the doctor put two stents in his heart. He was at the peak of the heart attack when he went to the hospital. The doctor said he had 100% blockage. My Mom and two brothers were there at the hospital for him. I got a call saying he made it out of surgery and was doing just fine, he had good color to his skin and was flirting with the nurses. Thats my Dad I tell ya!

Well thats not the end of the story. Sunday morning I get a call from my sister saying Dad was in bad shape. She said the nurse had called my brother Anthony and told him my Dad was going through V- Tach the whole night. So I called the hospital and talked to the nurse and she said he was doing horrible and I should think about flying to Idaho. This put me into immediate hysterics and I was laying in a fetal position crying my heart out. I don't know what I would do with out my Dad right now. Well Anthony got to the hospital and went into see my Dad and his room was dark and his eyes were closed. Poor Anth thought my Dad had passed away-- so he went to the nurse and said what is going on with my Dad?? The nurses eyes became HUGE and her face turned white. She realized she had called the wrong family. Anthony turned around my Dad was awake and was ordering breakfast! Needless to say my Dad is just fine. He is going home from the hospital today and is coming down to Utah on Friday.

much love and hugs to ya dad!!!
