update

So I just realized I haven't posted anything in over a MONTH!!! Things have been a little busy around here. I started a new job at at&t on December 1st- training was three weeks long and my first week selling was the week of Christmas. Talk about baptism by fire!!! Starting retail the week of Christmas? Well I made it through :)

Tim and I had our first Christmas as a married couple! It was a lot of fun, we went to my sister Kims house and spent the night to have Christmas morning with them. We stayed there all day and drove home that night in a HUGE storm. It took us three hours to get home which with normal conditions would take us an hour and a half. We drove through a white out storm going 25 to 30 mph the whole way. I was driving and white knuckling it!

I hope all of our friends and family have had a wonderful Holiday Season!!!

I don't have any of our pictures back from the Wedding Day... However I have a few pics of the Jeep....

So the story behind this is... I handed my brother Anthony the keys and said--- don't do anything that would wreck the paint... He took the keys and said no worries sister the Jeep is safe with me.

Tim and I were ready to leave and I looked at my brothers and they had look like they were up to NO good. I knew we were in for it! So we walked out of sisters house, Tims Jeep was parked on the front lawn and we were trying to figure out what was all over it. As we got closer we realized my brothers had taken it mudding. The first words out of my mouth were YOU A** HOLES!!! I was more worried about getting my dress dirty than anything. So we got in the Jeep and took off to Hotel Monaco. I wish I would have had the camera to get a picture of the Valet face when we pulled in.

I wouldn't have expected ANYTHING less from my brothers... I was mad for a minute but got over it real quick :)

we are MARRIED!!!

Just a quick post... We had a BEAUTIFUL day!!! I am so thankful to family and friends for the help and their lending hands... I just want to say how special everyone in my life is. I don't think I can thank everyone enough- the day was EXACTLY how I wanted it to be. I will post pictures soon!!!

will it ever stop? no, I don't know....

Honestly when you think you think things are on the up and up you get a new hand dealt. I got a call from my Mom on Saturday saying that my Dad had called my brother Anthony and said he felt like he was having a heart attack. Anthony rushed over to my Dads house picked him up and took him to the ER. He went straight into surgery and the doctor put two stents in his heart. He was at the peak of the heart attack when he went to the hospital. The doctor said he had 100% blockage. My Mom and two brothers were there at the hospital for him. I got a call saying he made it out of surgery and was doing just fine, he had good color to his skin and was flirting with the nurses. Thats my Dad I tell ya!

Well thats not the end of the story. Sunday morning I get a call from my sister saying Dad was in bad shape. She said the nurse had called my brother Anthony and told him my Dad was going through V- Tach the whole night. So I called the hospital and talked to the nurse and she said he was doing horrible and I should think about flying to Idaho. This put me into immediate hysterics and I was laying in a fetal position crying my heart out. I don't know what I would do with out my Dad right now. Well Anthony got to the hospital and went into see my Dad and his room was dark and his eyes were closed. Poor Anth thought my Dad had passed away-- so he went to the nurse and said what is going on with my Dad?? The nurses eyes became HUGE and her face turned white. She realized she had called the wrong family. Anthony turned around my Dad was awake and was ordering breakfast! Needless to say my Dad is just fine. He is going home from the hospital today and is coming down to Utah on Friday.

we are moved!!

So we are moved in! I think everytime I move it turns into a pretty intense story... So here is this moving story ended with me in the emergency room!!! EEK!

Tim and I took a truck load over to the new place and I stayed and started unpacking- Tim went back to the old apartment to meet up with a friend and get the rest of the furniture. Earlier that day we bought AirWick plug ins- so I plugged one in and plugged the radio into the other outlet. Really not thinking anything of it! Well I should have thought differently! All I remember is fire coming from the outlet and me QUICKLY pulling the cord out! As I was freaking out I looked down and it caught the box sitting next to the outlet on fire so I quickly blew that out and looked down at my hand it was BLACK!!! I freaked out even more and ran to the sink and ran it under cold water and called Tim in hysterics and told him to get home ASAP! Tim has never heard me cry so hard. I called my Mom she did the Mom thing and calmed me down. Tim got back to the apartment about a half hour later with his friend- they dropped the furniture off in the garage, I grabbed the first thing I saw that I could put cold water in (P.S. thanks Betty for the measuring cups--- they came in handy!) and we were on our way to the ER. We walked in and were checked out by the Dr. and was told I had second almost third degree burns on my index finger and thumb. I am SOOOOOO thankful it was only that! It could have been FIVE THOUSAND times worse.

So there is cliff note version of our moving story! Honestly sometimes I can't believe my luck....BLAH

moving day

So here it is... Moving day- the moment we have been waiting for.... yet dread so much. I had to work at Nordstrom today, while I was gone Tim had packed up the majority of the house and has gotten most everything ready to go. Needless to say I was VERY shocked when I got home from work. We are moving everything out of the apartment tomorrow but we don't have to be completely out till November 3rd. So that gives us a week to get things cleaned and ready to go. Well.......... back to packing... BLAH!

I am so very thankful.....

I just want everyone to know how very thankful I am... I had my Bridal Shower tonight and was completely spoiled! Thank you SOOOOO much to all my friends I LOVE you all!!!

snow in October???

My bridals are today and the forecast calls for SNOW!!! What the heck? It is not even Halloween yet! I think we are in for a LONG COLD winter... Let's just pray for no snow on our wedding day!

and the invitations....

It is now crunch time!!! We have about a month to go.... The invitations are printed off... envelopes are addressed---- thanks to Jami!!! Sisters and I are putting the invitations together tomorrow night and they should be out by the end of the week. It's all coming together! I can't believe that the day is almost here! I was able to find a Judge today that can Marry us- beings we are getting Married on Veterans Day. So two big things out of the way... whew! Well thats all for now...

busy... busy... busy...

The countdown is for sure on... I just realized we have 37 days till the big day!!! Things are quickly coming together. Invitations are going out on Tuesday... Bridals on Saturday... And it is all down hill from there. I can't even believe how much we have going on from now till then.. Moving into a bigger apartment is one of them. We are moving into a condo on the 1st of November, I can't wait. I know people are thinking we are crazy for moving 11 days before the wedding- but i know it will all work out.

This is a picture of Tim when he was in Afghanistan. This was the trip that was suppose to take one to two months that ended up taking three months!! He could tell more about this picture but he is out of town working again. What I can say about this pic is... Is now looking back the trip was a blessing in disguise. Before he left I had not had the chance to meet his parents but during that time I got to get to know them over the phone. Tim would call me and give me updates on what was going on then I would call his parents (in Florida) and fill them in. As I said before it was a true blessing in disguise. About a month after Tim came home his Mom became really ill and she passed away on August 22nd. We were both able to go back and see her before she passed away. She was an amazing lady, and I am SO SO thankful for the short time I was able to get to know her. This blog didn't have much to do with the "picture" but it was all about my feelings when I look back at it.

engagement pictures...

We had our engagement pics today. We ended up not going to Bear Lake. We still took the majority of the pictures at the train station. There was this really cool place behind it that had a bunch of old cars... Then we went up into the canyon and took some other pics near a stream and on a rickety bridge. I can't wait to get them back!

details....

OK so some of our friends have asked for details on the proposal and what not so here it goes....

So Tim left for Afghanistan for a three month long trip and got back in July. I got a call from him on his 36 hour long trek back home to the states and we decided on a date. Well we debated between two dates... 8/8/08 and 11/11/08. We wanted 8/8/08 because my birthday is 6/6/80 and his is 7/7/77 so we thought it would be cool to get married on that date... Well considering that would only give us about a month to plan the wedding we decided against and go with 11/11. Many ask why 11/11... well whenever we see 11:11 we always say lucky time make a wish. Then I was talking to a friend that follows numerology and she said that is a strong date (not that I follow... just find that interesting)

Tim got home on July 5 and we kind of ran across my ring on a website. I know pretty random. Well he bought it and FedEx delivered it on the 10th. Now this is the funny story- He got the confirmation emailed to him and said that it would be to apartment before 3 pm. I think I called Tim 20 times that day asking him if the ring had been dropped off yet. The answer I kept getting was no, no, no, no. Then I the LAST answer I got was "I am going to hide the ring and give it to you when I am ready" I kinda had to laugh it off and say no biggie.... So on my way home from work I called my sister and told her and her response was "Andrea you need to let him propose to you... let it be special" So I got off the phone... and as I pulled into the apartment (around 4:30) I noticed a big white truck with purple and green letters on the side... hmmm FedEx? YES! So as the driver was walking back to the truck I sat in my car wondering... should I wait for a minute and pretend I didn't see the truck? Or should I just go for it and walk up the stairs. Well I chose option B. As I opened up the door slowly Tim came running to the door holding my ring in his hand saying "baby we got it" My eyes were HUGE and I won't lie I was in shock... then he said "do I need to get down on one knee?" and of course my answer was YES!

So there is the proposal. In the doorway of our apartment.

So we are now official bloggers! We are excited to join the "blogging" world- Or should I say "I am excited" I don't know exactly how excited Tim is about it.. haha... We have a lot going with the Wedding plans and now we will be able to keep everyone informed of all the fun plans and changes with that. We are taking our engagement pictures this upcoming Saturday. We are planning on taking them at Bear Lake- it is going to be beautiful. Our photographer told me about a great location that will have sail boats the dock and the lake as our background. I can't wait! She also is taking us to a location that has been renovated and looks like an old train station. So we will have the pictures back in about three weeks. Can't wait to take them, get them back, and post them! Well I am out for now!
